The 2021 Los Pasitos, from young trellised vines, had a similar fermentation and élevage as the 2022 that I tasted next to it: 100% full clusters in plastic bins with indigenous yeasts and aging in used 500-liter oak barrels for 10 months. It has a little less alcohol, 12.2%, and integrated acidity. The nose is very expressive, with some notes that transported me to the Northern Rhône, smoky and floral. The palate is vibrant and has effervescent acidity, giving it flavors of acid berries. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and a chalky and fresh finish. This could very well be my favorite vintage of Los Pasitos so far... 1,300 bottles were filled in September 2022.
