One of the very best Champagnes of this difficult vintage, because it shows vibrancy and precision that were so often lacking. Very fine brioche character with a slew of floral notes and whiff of smoke give this compelling character. Laser-beam straight and very pure, the racy finish is extremely long and refined. A blend of 65% chardonnay from Avize and Cramant, plus 35% pinot noir from Ay. Drink or hold.
