James Suckling: 95 Points
A wine, with beautiful flowers, hazelnut and chocolate and dark fruits. It is dense and tight with beautiful quality of tannins. Goes on and on. Texture is amazing. Don't miss it. Second wine of Pomerol's legendary Lafleur. Try in 2016.

Tasted from an ex-chateau bottle at the Lafleur vertical dinner at Attersee in Austria. This is just a fabulous Pensees de Lafleur that continues to offer so much pleasure. It explodes from the glass with creme de cassis, raspberry and still that mote of fresh figs. The palate is silky smooth and feels fat and generous in the mouth, perhaps not quite as tense as the bottle encountered last year and yet the delineation is still in situ on the long finish. If you cannot afford the Grand Vin, this will not leave you feeling short changed. Tasted June 2012.
