Falstaff
Light greenish yellow, silver reflections, fine, persistent mousse. Delicate nutty aroma, a hint of ripe tropical fruit, delicate meadow herbs and orange peel notes. Juicy and elegant with integrated acidity, minerality, red apple fruit on the finish and very long.
The first English sparkling to be produced by a Champagne House. Created in Hampshire, in the traditional method with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, this is a fine and elegant sparkling just bursting with life. The nose reminds me of an English garden, green apple and soft grassy notes with touches of brioche adding depth and roundness. This has quite a weighty mouthfeel, full of citrus fruit flavours and is instantly mouthwatering. A seriously enjoyable wine. As expensive as a good bottle of Champagne but an impressive alternative.
