The bouquet is somewhat disappointing in that it smells engagingly, if subtly, of dried yellow fruit but doesn't expand beyond that. Palate entry improves by offering leathery, mature tastes of nut paste, marzipan, treacle and dark chocolate; midpalate is chunky, sweet, raisiny, pruny and fat. Finishes huge, assertive and diametrically opposed to the fey bouquet. P.P. (90-95)
