James Suckling: 93 Points
This is really fresh and compact with wet-earth, blackberry and conifer character. It’s medium bodied, tight and focused. Solid. 92-93

The 2019 Goulée by Cos d'Estournel is gracious, perfumed and so elegant. Silky tannins and lifted aromatics give the 2019 a real feeling of finesse that is impossible to miss. Bright red/purplish berry fruit, wild flowers, spice, mint, licorice and underbrush all develop in the glass. Medium in body and all class, the Goulée is an absolute winner. The 2019 is one of the best editions of Goulée I can remember tasting. I loved it. 91-93
Decanter: 92 Points
High Merlot levels that clearly reached full ripeness in the summer heat, just about avoiding the tip over into fig character. Accessible already, but should drink well for a good decade. Ripe blueberry and blackberry fruits, touches of vanilla bean, the freshness from its location close to the Gironde estuary is clear and necessary, and this is an enjoyable Goulée.
