A SINGLE CASK BOTTLING
Color: Light Golden
Nose: A powerful blend of smoke and peat but, given a moment or two to develop, this dram opens into a rich and rewarding aroma with notes of oak.
Taste: This is a beauty – a great mouthfeel with
much warmth and initial sweetness but finishes with
a dryness of quite tart plums. All the time there is
the smokiness, the peat and the oak character that reminds one of being locked in a traditional log cabin. An Islay Single Malt that might convert some of those who usually run a mile from too much smoke and peat. Finish: As one might imagine, this dram has a prodigiously long finish – dry, oak and back to the tart plums .... but in a very pleasant way.
